The Urs Endress Foundation has set the goal to redesign the civil mine detection in a faster, more effective and cost saving way. For this purpose, projects like FindMine, which are making the mine clearance, finding of duds and similar weapon systems, among others by the use of UAS (Unmanned Air Systems, drones) with high performance measurement techniques possible, are being promoted.

Research and development takes place predominantly in Switzerland, but is also internationally oriented. For this purpose, the Urs Endress Foundation set up the MINE DETECTION SYMPOSIUM on a worldwide scale, which serves as an interdisciplinary platform for experts from all disciplines.
